About Our Massage Therapist
Vanessa Levin, LMT, CYT has been officially practicing massage for 10 years, although her technique training began at age 6. Her mother had trained as a nurse, and back then, nurse training involved massage as a way to build client trust, and ease patients through the discomfort of hospitalization. Along with practising massage on her mom, friends, and the assorted sports teams she was on in high school, Vanessa also did massage for the various animals on the farm. Mostly horses, dogs, and cats. She never thought of this as a career until later in life when her studies of medical anthropology, counseling psychology, and yoga training intertwined. A method of understanding the body mind connection through muscle cell memory was discovered. She has massage certifications from McKInnon Institute in California and Spatech in Maine since 2005. She has devoted her time to further education in Reiki, Acupressure, CranialSacral, and Reflexology to continue understanding the body and how it can unwind. Vanessa combines various modalities of massage therapy to create a unique blend of relaxation, therapeutic application, and detail work. She also has certifications in yoga, raw food, and a strong background in ayurvedic medicine that can be added to your sessions. May the experience of her work help guide you to a place of holistic balance and wellbeing! Namaste.
